   While finishing my BFA in Graphic Design at Iowa State University, I began in my first design position part-time with Meredith Corporation’s Better Homes and Gardens Website (BHGLive). When I’d finished my time with Meredith, I earned a position with Inlet Inc., a web design firm in Cedar Rapids. Shortly after Inlet’s acquisition by McLeodUSA in 1999, I became Head of Graphic Design for McLeodUSA E-business. By 2001 I began to realize that though I enjoyed my team and my peers, I missed hands-on design work. I sought and earned a position as Senior Web Designer with Geonetric Technologies, a small web design firm in Cedar Rapids. I had successfully returned to the work I enjoy most: designing. My software knowledge includes: Illustrator 10, Photoshop 6, Fireworks MX, Flash MX, Quark, and PageMaker. I code html mostly by hand and have a working knowledge of JavaScript, php and asp and experience with website-database integration.
