   My feeling on software is it’s just software-just a tool. Anyone can wield a hammer, but what does it take to craft something that shows not just beauty, not just utility, but that is beautifully usable? Good Design does not make things beautiful. Good Design makes things effective. The most beautiful color scheme in the world cannot help a poorly targeted, ill-conceived message. The Good Designer helps form any project from the raw materials to the foundation through the formation and polish. This requires the ability to do many different tasks as well as design. I can lead a team, craft a vision, drive a project, analyze need, gauge effectiveness, plan testing, delegate work, or open up my cabinet for whatever tool I need to get the job done right.
